Hello Again;

  As promised at the Restructure meeting at Honeymoon Bay Hall last night (april 28th) I will post the information that was presentated. I have the tax info and the voting rules/weighted vote rules available and a copy of the map of the Cowichan Lake Area. I will post the rest of the information that was presentated as soon as I can. I included some links to the BC Gov’t website that has restructure information also.

Enjoy

Hello Everyone…

Latest info….the Restructure Committee has met twice this month (april) with another full Community meeting tentatively scheduled for Honeymoon Bay Hall on the 28th of April.

Well I finally got the PDF files uploaded on to my site, another learning experience for me.

  preliminary rec   cowlk_restructure  issues_study1  1992-map2

Above you will find 1)Preliminary recomendations  2)Restructure study 3) Issuestax-info Study 4) 1992 Map of the area proposed.

 I think you can agree that the area proposed for the new municipality was not sufficient for a working tax base.   Enjoyable reading overall.

 Also here is a copy of the recent Sunshine Coast Report

 full-2006-sunshine-coast-technical-report-with-appendices  please be aware the only similarity to Cowichan Lake is the 2 areas and one municipality that were covered in the report but it is a good read to get an idea of how much detail goes into a modrn report. One thing you will notice is that the Sunshine Coast study area is much more densely populated than our area is.

Enjoy

Joe
